Year 13 P.E. students were able to learn first-hand about the Legacy of the 2012 Olympic Games.
Year 13 P.E. students were able to learn first-hand about the Legacy of the 2012 Olympic Games by travelling to Stratford to visit the London Stadium (where both the opening and closing ceremonies took place) and take a trip up (and down!) the ArcelorMittal Orbit, which was the original site of the Olympic Torch.
Following the 2012 Olympics, the ArcelorMittal Orbit was transformed into a viewing platform and the world's tallest tunnel slide. The students were able to experience the exciting 40 second ‘Helter Skelter’ slide, travelling a total distance of 178 metres.
