Year 13 students enjoy the Redhill Trust Moving on Day
The entire Year 13 cohort experienced a fantastically informative day on Friday 13th September
The cohort were guests at Nottingham Trent University and were offered a huge selection of sessions to guide them into adulthood, healthily, safely and with the skills needed to succeed. A host of experts in their fields provided sessions on personal finance, degree apprenticeships, driving safely and revision techniques.
Our Redhill Trust provided expert speakers, which included the police service, a GP and Equifax. There were over 600 students in attendance from our 7 Trust schools across Nottingham and Derbyshire. It was a great opportunity to get the entire Year 13 cohort together, and I think even the staff learnt new information on networking through LinkedIn and much more!
Andy Edwards, Director of Post 16, comment; “Moving on day was the largest gathering of sixth form students the Redhill Academy Trust has ever had, and it was fantastic to get all our schools and students together in a university setting to explore the fantastic opportunities that are ahead of them. We would like to thank all of our fantastic providers who put on informative and engaging sessions for our students”
All students thoroughly enjoyed the day- it was brilliant to take them out of the classroom and into the lecture theatre!
