Creative Writers Attend Trust-Wide Workshop with incredible author, Lisa Williamson
Year 8 Creative Writers were invited on a day-long creative writing workshop at Colonel Frank Seely, another member of Redhill Academy Trust
Workshops were hosted by Lisa Williamson, the best-selling author of The Art of Being Normal, a YA story about the friendship between a trans girl and a gay boy described as 'a life-changing and life-saving book' by Philip Pullman.
Students were given the opportunity to fine-tune their writing skills, working individually and as a team with students from other schools. When asked about the event, the students reflected positively, stating that it was “interesting” and “enjoyable”.
Further online sessions are planned to inspire budding writers.
