Oxbridge Alumni Return to Inspire Students
Four former Tupton Hall Sixth Formers; Jen, Libby, Andrew and James, returned to school to discuss their Oxbridge experiences with Year 11 and 13 students from Tupton Hall and neighbouring Redhill Academy Trust secondary, Brookfield Community School.
Our alumni discussed the Oxford and Cambridge application process, the difference between STEM and Humanities degree structures, and gave students to the opportunity to ask questions.
Head of Sxith Form, Mrs C Burton, commented: "It is always great to welcome our former students back into the Sixth Form; it is truly appreciated that they would come in and give their time so freely so talk to fellow students. Our students progress from the Sixth Form onto university, employment, apprenticeships and into the Armed Forces; many stay in touch and inspire the staff and students with their exciting opportunities and adventures."
"Jen, Libby, Andrew and James all inspired both Year 11 and Year 12 with information on applying to Oxford and Cambridge; they instilled in the students a sense of belief and to always aim high to achieve their potential. To hear our students speak about their experiences since leaving the Sixth Form is amazing; there is no limit to what they can achieve and as always our students; current and former, are our best ambassadors."
