Sixth Form's Environmental Scientists go on their first trip!
After years of pandemic restrictions, Sixth Form Environmental Science students were finally able to go on a trip related to their studies.
Students were invited to Longcliffe Quarries and were able to view a working quarry from the safety of a viewing platform and learn about its functions and maintenance.
Staff at Longcliffe were informative, friendly and approachable and allowed students to develop their knowledge outside the classroom in a memorable trip. Tupton Hall Sixth Form actively encourages trips like this, believing in the importance of learning in different environments and practising their studies.
Mr Powell and Miss Bedford accompanied the students in assessing biodiversity and carbon sequestration in a deciduous woodland area close to the quarry.
